Triple Eight Ford Mustang GT

In early January 2025, Triple Eight unveiled a striking gunmetal grey Mustang Supercar. A dramatic departure from their familiar matte blue Red Bull Ampol race livery, the subdued grey finish was chosen as the preferred aero-testing colour, allowing for clearer visual analysis and underlining the serious intent behind the program.

With Toyota joining the grid to create a three-manufacturer battle in 2026, extensive aerodynamic development became a priority, including vital testing of the Supra against the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro in the United States to ensure parity across the field.

Even in the subdued grey finish, the livery was breath-taking. The contrasting greys, line work, Triple Eight and Ford Racing logos combined with the iconic Mustang on the sides form an awesome, stealthy Supercar. One that was begging to be replicated in scale model form as soon as it was revealed.

Triple Eight Race Engineering fans and Ford Racing collectors, can now get their hands on one.

The Aero Test Livery model is currently scheduled to be produced in two scales:

1:18 Scale

• Die-cast model.
• Opening parts including the bonnet, driver and passenger doors.
• Detailed racing cockpit, engine bay, and Gen3 undercarriage.
• Molded clear glasshouse.
• Comprised of roughly 205 individual metal and plastic parts.
• Anywhere between 100-200 steps in paint and decoration finishing.
• Limited edition. Comes with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity, presented in an Authentic Collectables branded protective folder.

1:43 Scale

• Die-cast model, sealed body with clear windows.
• Detailed racing cockpit and Gen3 undercarriage.
• Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts.
• Anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing.
• Limited edition. Model comes presented in a display case with car details printed on base plate and numbered backing board which acts as the Certificate of Authenticity.
